FEATURED PROJECT

Selma Avenue Hotel

Hollywood, CA

Throw 8 stories of new steel framing on top of 2 stories of existing poured-in-place concrete. What do you get? Well, we got to structurally design an exciting adaptive re-use project that will transform a run-down parking structure into a 10-story boutique hotel. The existing foundation system will be retrofit for the increased loads. The existing concrete columns will be jacketed for increased strength. Large openings cut into the existing concrete floor and roof slabs, will be supported with new steel framing, giving access to the new composite-deck floors above, and even a roof-top swimming pool and helipad.
